Kentucky media outlets are reporting that former UK basketball coaching legend Billy Gillispie is sitting in Frankfort County jail this morning on suspicion of DUI.
WLKY says the former coach refused a breath test.
Police said Gillispie was pulled over just before 2:30 a.m. in Lawrenceburg while driving a 2009 white Mercedes with Texas plates. Gillispie refused to take a breath test. He was arrested and sent to Frankfort to be booked.
Would this be Billy’s first rodeo with police over DUI? Nope. He has quite a history. There were arrests in 1999 and 2003.
